Lender List Rationale

Cleary University reviews lenders on an annual basis. While Cleary University does not choose lenders for borrowers, we have provided a list of lenders and their loan servicing agencies that are used most often by Cleary Students.

Other things considered:

  • Customer service record - We look for lenders who have a proven customer service record in servicing loans and helping students during repayment.
  • Automation capability - Lenders who are automated in their processes by using electronic signatures and internet certifications are more likely to process loan disbursements in a timely manner, enabling student to get their loan funds when needed without unnecessary paper delays.

A wide variety of information is available online to assist you in educating yourself regarding loans and lenders. We urge you to consider the following when making your lender of choice:

  • Do they provide good customer service?
  • Do they participate in electronic transfer of funds?
  • Do they offer to pay any loan fees such as the 1% Federal Default Fee?
  • Are there benefits offered for on-time payments?
  • Do you lose any benefits if you consolidate?
  • How long has the lender been in business? Do they have a proven track record?
