ALTERNATIVE LOANS

Central Washington University participates in the William D. Ford Direct Lending Program. We emphatically advise all students and parent to exhaust their eligibility for Federal Stafford Loans prior to considering an Alternative Loan. The FAFSA is the application Office of Financial Aid Website

Alterntive loans are the aid of last resort. Please speak with a Financial Aid Counselor before applying for an Alternative Loan.

ALTERNATIVE LOAN LENDER LIST RATIONALE

Central Washington University works with a variety of lenders all of whom agree to use our electronic application and disbursement system. We do not monitor Satisfactory Progress although we reserve the right to refuse certification in extreme cases.

Please look at the Stafford loan first. Alternative loans will not be revised once they are processed.
