These include North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant, Presidential Scholarship Program, United Methodist Scholarships, athletic scholarships, and ROTC Scholarships. Students are required to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in order to retain the funds each academic year. HPU Financial Aid department also disburses federal student loans like Stafford Loans and Parent Plus Loans. The standard loan interest rate is fixed at 3.86% for Subsidized Stafford loans, 5.41% for Unsubsidized Stafford Loans and is at 6.41% for the Parent PLUS Loans.

Private Loans and HPU Financial Aid

If your financial aid package doesn’t cover all of your costs, or if you have exhausted all of your financial aid options, you might want to apply for private student loans, as such loans may provide more substantial amounts of money.
