University of New Hampshire Financial Aid
The University of New Hampshire strives to make a higher education accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background. The university meets 82 percent of all need through institutional and government-sponsored aid packages. Nearly 40 percent of all aid is awarded through scholarships and grants, while over 60 percent of aid is disbursed through loans and part-time jobs. Most students receive a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and student employment in their financial aid package.
In order to apply for University of New Hampshire financial aid, students are required to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. The FAFSA can be completed and submitted online at fafsa.ed.gov.
University of New Hampshire Aid Packages
University of New Hampshire financial aid packages include scholarships and grants, both of which are gift aid and don’t need to be paid back. UNH also participates in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program, which allows students to work part-time without having to skip classes.
