FIU Financial Aid

Florida International University, also known as FIU, is a research university located in Miami. Established in 1965, the university has a history of providing comprehensive higher education to students at an affordable cost. It is the 15th largest university in the United States, and has over 44,000 students. They are home to the 'Panthers,’ who have a reputation for athletic success both within and outside of their conference. Eligibility Requirements for FIU Financial Aid

Some of the requirements of FIU Financial Aid are listed below:

• The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen;
• Applicant has to have a valid SSN;
• There should be no history of a felony;
• Applicants need to file a FAFSA form for FIU to evaluate their eligibility status;
• Each applicant has to apply via the Panther Soft portal, and
• First time borrowers need to complete an Entrance Counseling Seminar.

Getting FIU Financial Aid can be a relatively easy process if you follow their guidelines. However, it is strongly advised that you plan and apply well ahead of the application deadline. New students have to apply by March of every year and returning students can apply by June each year.
