Lender List Rationale

The Office of Financial Aid is committed to helping students and their families choose a lender that will meet their particular needs. Borrowers frequently ask for guidance in selecting a lender. For this reason, the University compiles a list of primary lenders.

Primary lenders are selected for several reasons, including:

• Borrower Service: Excellent customer service and dedicated staff committed to student and school service at all levels
• Technology: Ability to support school’s electronic systems to provide quick, accurate and efficient loan processing, including participation in electronic fund transfer (EFT)
• Reputation and Stability: Well-known, reputable financial institutions who have demonstrated longevity and commitment to the student loan programs

An ongoing review is conducted to ensure the primary lenders continue to be the best possible resource for student loans.

Please note that Benedictine University’s list of primary lenders is intended only as a guide. Borrowers are encouraged to make informed decisions by conducting their own research of lenders before applying for a loan. The Office of Financial Aid will process a loan certification request for any lender selected by the borrower.
